Mama’s got a new ride. I have always wanted to own and ride a motorbike. This 125cc Yamaha Scooter that Marc and I rented for this month will have to suffice.

I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to use a motorcycle. Never had the opportunity, though. Did you have to get a specific driving license like you do over here?

It’s a scooter.
In Japan, you can ride motorcycles if you already possess a motorcycle license back home AND an international driving permit (which requires you to mail some monies to AMA).
I only have a driving license, but I can obtain a scooter license in Japan which I will after I come back from my Canada trip.

Don’t worry about it Ian. The Japanese has also taken the habit of calling the scooter a motorbike.
