Starting today I will begin writing in Japanese a bit at a time.
I made a friend!
Yesterday, I made a Japanese friend. Because of our matching personalities, we will probably become really good friends. He is a Japanese guy named Shinya and I first heard of him from Mai-chan. Shinya had an interest in a language exchange, so Mai recommended to him to meet me.
So finally we met yesterday.
In Japan, Shinya studied physical therapy in University and had read a book written by a University of Alberta professor. Because he wanted to study under that professor, he decided to study abroad at the University of Alberta.
He’s very active, so he and I will get along.

I am back in Edmonton. I am still picking up the pieces of what I have left, not to mention picking up the pieces, finding a trash can, and chucking them — I have a gross amount of stuff in my condo and it’s just a behemoth of a task to purge and add MORE stuff from Japan. So, that and work has kept me busy.
In the meantime, I have not yet uploaded the pictures from the two week touring of Japan that Matt and I did. I figure that I shall group them according to place and then write updates. I need to get some maps so I can figure out the names of the places that we went … since I have already forgotten except for the few shrines and temples that have left a strong impression on me.
While my patient readers are waiting, please visit ???????????. (Translated as “Ramen in 3 Minutes”; literal translation, “Ramen Three Minute Cooking”.)

Last day in Japan. I will be coming back to Canada with over 300 pictures taken in the past two weeks from the Matt and Ana Japan Adventure. It is pretty hard to sum up a two week vacation in one word, but if I were to try I would say
“shinannigans”.
